About the Presenters:

John Sherrod
John, recently retired from Entergy, has more than 41 years experience in responding to major power outages caused by some of the most significant weather events ever to hit the Southeast United States, including Hurricanes Hilda, Betsy, Camille, Frederick, Andrew, Georges, and most recently, Isidore and Lili, as well as ice storms, tornadoes, and floods. Under his leadership as "Storm Boss" for the four-state service area, Entergy won the EEI Emergency Response Award every year for the six years the award has been in existence - the only utility in the nation so honored. John is recognized nationally and internationally as an expert in his field.

Chris Herbert
Chris is lead meteorologist for Impact Weather in Houston, Texas. Impact provides meteorological services to numerous customers, especially for electric utilities and oil companies with off-shore facilities. Chris is well-known in the electric utility industry, and has spoken at numerous industry conferences, including the National Hurricane Conference. Chris and Impact Weather number among their customers many of the electric utilities which have service areas exposed to risks of hurricanes, and also provide valuable information for other severe weather such as ice storms and tornadoes.

Jeff Badeaux
Jeff is President of Base Logistics, Inc., of New Orleans. He has many years experience in the logistics field, and Base has contracts with a number of electric utilities in the Southeast United States. He and his company have been involved in most of the major weather events to hit the Southeast U.S. in the last ten years. Jeff is a frequent presenter at electric utility conferences, and his expertise in all areas of logistics support makes him and his company valued allies during major outage events.
