PSOR Perspective: Help Us Show What Psoriatic Disease Really Looks Like
We're inviting people living with psoriatic disease to share their photographs — and here's why it matters.

There is something powerful about a photograph.
Not because of how it is taken, or who took it, but because of what it makes visible. Because it says:
"This is real"
"This is what it looks like"
"This is what I carry"
That is exactly what PSOR Perspective is about.
What is PSOR Perspective?
PSOR Perspective is a new project from Psoriatic Disease UK. We are collecting photographs from people living with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and related conditions — images that show the real, unfiltered experience of life with psoriatic disease.
We want to see visible symptoms. Treatment journeys. Daily challenges. The quiet acts of resilience that nobody else sees. The moments of strength that come after the hard ones. The ordinary days that are anything but ordinary when you are managing a chronic condition alongside everything else life asks of you.
These are the things that rarely make it into a brochure or a news story, but are lived every single day by hundreds of thousands of people across the country. PSOR Perspective is our way of making space for them.
Your image can be whatever you feel best tells your story. There is no right or wrong way to take part.
You can find the project page at psor.org/psor-perspective.

Why visibility matters
Psoriatic disease is still widely misunderstood. People are told it is "just a skin thing." That it isn't serious. That they should be able to hide it, push through it, or keep it to themselves.
Those of us who live with it — or love someone who does — know how far from the truth that is.
The physical reality of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis is difficult enough. But the stigma that surrounds visible skin conditions, the stares, the unsolicited advice, the moments of feeling like you have to explain yourself, adds a weight of its own. It delays diagnosis. It discourages people from seeking support. It leaves too many people feeling isolated with something they did not choose.
One of the most effective ways to challenge that stigma is to simply show the reality. Not to shock, but to educate. Not to demand sympathy, but to build genuine understanding.
PSOR Perspective is a way for our community to be part of that work. The images you share will help us raise awareness, support our advocacy, challenge misconceptions, and create materials that show policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the wider public what living with psoriatic disease actually means, in human terms, from the people who know it best.
Every photograph we receive adds to that picture. Yours could be part of it.
You do not need to be a photographer
We mean this.
Photographs taken on a phone are absolutely fine. Blurry is fine. Candid is fine. We are not looking for studio portraits or technically perfect images. We are looking for honest ones.
We also welcome creative interpretations. If you want to capture how psoriatic disease makes you feel, or how you see yourself, rather than a close-up of your skin or joints, we want to see that too. This is your story, and you get to decide how you tell it.
Anyone aged 18 or over who is living with psoriatic disease is welcome to take part. Images submitted to PSOR Perspective may be used on our website, social media, publications, reports and campaigns — always in service of our charitable work and the community we exist to support.
Share your perspective
We know that sharing an image of yourself living with a condition like this takes courage. It asks something of you, and we do not take that lightly.
What we do know is that every image shared makes it a little easier for the next person to feel seen. A little more likely that someone who does not understand this disease might start to. A little harder for psoriatic disease to stay invisible.
That is worth something real.
If you are ready to share yours, you can submit directly using the form below. It takes just a few minutes.

Thank you for helping us show what psoriatic disease really looks like. 🧡💜
